Our Dental Hygienists

Dental Hygienists

I attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.  I have worked at Birch Lake Dental since 1999 and have enjoyed getting to know everyone and helping people achieve happy, healthy smiles.  I work with a great team and feel lucky to be working in an office that is so technologically advanced.  I also strive to stay up to date with the latest continuing education available to give all of our patient's the best care possible.

In my free time you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my wonderful husband hiking, camping and kayaking.  We also love to spend time with our grown children and 7 grandchildren.

I have also become passionate about the health benefits of essential oils and am currently working on class I certification in Aromatherapy.

I look forward to caring for you and your families in the years to come.

Dental Hygienists

I began my dental career in high school and I have been fortunate to have picked a career I am still happy with! What I enjoy most about my career is the wonderful people I get to work with every day and the awesome patients I meet.  Every person is unique and every smile brings different challenges. My goal for each appointment is to help each patient learn more about preventative dental care and options they might have to enhance their smile. I find it very important to keep up with continuing dental education so that I can continue to keep our patients educated on what research is showing.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  My husband and I have 2 grown children. Our daughter is a school teacher. Our son is enrolled in the pharmacy school at University of Kentucky – go Wild Cats. Ruby, our dog, keeps us entertained every day now that we are empty nesters.  Things I enjoy in my free time are travel, book reading, and photography.  We love to travel and are constantly planning the next vacation. The list of places to visit continues to lengthen rather than shorten. We live in a beautiful world with so much to see and do!

Dental Hygienists/ Dental Assistant

I graduated from NCC in 1989 as a LDA. I then went on to complete my degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of MN.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy scrap-booking, working out, boating and writing.  I was blessed to be able to write and publish the book The Lily Pad and the Dragonfly.  However my biggest passion is people! I truly enjoy getting to meet new people.

I have been in dentistry for 28 years and believe it's my responsibility to deliver the utmost of quality care to my patients.
